Personal Note

I am a passionate writer, dedicated to stirring the minds and moving the hearts of my readers. As a child, I fell in love with the words that moved me out of the silences that brewed within. Now, I eagerly and passionately embrace the words that are born of the joys and sorrows of life. I enjoy exploring various styles in my writing. And although I prefer rhyme, I understand that the poem (not the poet), having a life of its own, dictates its own style.

I thank my father for introducing me to keeping a dream diary, my mother for being my cheerleader every time I wrote a new poem, and my grade 10 English teacher for encouraging me to enter poetry contests.

Now, in my 50's, I am the mother of two grown children with many years experience in home-schooling, teaching, social work, and of course writing and publishing.

Although I write mostly poetry, I also have experience writing a home-schooling curriculum and articles for newsletters, and have begun writing short stories, children's stories and my autobiography.
